Affordable Web Design Ltd is a full-time, full service web design firm employing several professional designers and programmers. We are located in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada, and we serve clients all over North America.
Our sales office is open Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm Pacific Standard Time. We are also available for emergency technical issues 7 days a week. Our staff is technically knowledgeable and continuously keeping up with new web design trends. In addition, we have a great marketing background and many years of business experience, which helps us create effective websites. We are always keeping up with any changes in search engine requirements and quickly
adapt our sites designs to reflect the most recent changes.
We understand that small business simply can't afford the
big price tag that many web design companies charge for

but at reasonable prices which keep small business

Custom Designed Websites
We customize our sites in accordance with your budget, as well as your wishes and requirements within that budget. We base our fees on the time needed for site completion and of course that time can vary substantially, depending on what you want in your site. |

We can incorporate music, Flash animation, blogs, scripts, shopping carts, etc. The more complex the site, the more time it will take to complete your project and of course the higher the cost.
Re-designing an existing website is the same process. We can usually use many of the files on your current site and continue with the same theme if you prefer. However, if we feel that it is more economical for you to let us create a new site from scratch rather than to try to work with unsatifactory codes and files from the old site, we will let you know.
Our custom designs start at $960.00 plus applicable taxes (based on a total of 12 hours for prep work, client consultation and web design work) and include approximately 10 pages (content to be supplied by the client) , many images as supplied by the client, as well as the incorporation of the important search engine parameters in order to help you be found through through internet searches.
And yes, we can help you with your content at our normal hourly rate if our time is at or over the estimated time. Not sure what to put in? We can help you- contact us today to discuss your web design needs. Most of our competitors require you to submit all content exactly as you want it (spelling mistakes, typos and all). We can guide you in what information is needed, how to put it in, etc... The only "spell checker" in web design is the designer...there are no "safeguards" to help with the spelling... Basic Business Bundle - Entry Level Designs
This entry-level website is an unbeatable value at $500.00 plus applicable taxes for those who are working within a very low budget and who plan to drive their clientele to their sites by word of mouth or regular advertising such as newspapers, flyers, brochures and business cards. This basic website does not include search engine optimization. The template based design is a 4-page design which allows you up to 3 photos on each page and includes website hosting service for one year (a $120 value). |

All you need to do is supply us with some information on you and your company, some images depicting your product and/or service, and your contact information. Some image size restrictions do apply in some instances, so discuss your needs with us if you wish to choose this basic design.
This type of design is ideal for those who plan to generate traffic to their site through their own advertising, business cards, brochures and word-of-mouth. These sites are not as effective as our "custom" sites in attracting the search engines because of their low number of pages and the fact that they are too basic cost-wise to be able to incorporate all the necessary search engine parameters, but they are great as a basic web presence. If you have been told that you "need a website" so that your existing clients can go check out contact information or some basic company information, and you don't need to be found through internet searches, then this may be a great web design alternative for you! |

Website Updating and Maintenance
We will update and maintain your site, either on a monthly basis or on an "as needed" basis. We charge our normal hourly fee ($80) and will only bill for the time needed, with no monthly minimum charge. |

We try to make it as simple as possible for you, and we also get your changes done as quickly as we can. You just e-mail us your images in any size and we will optimize and size them, then insert them into the appropriate web page. Just remember that all steps take time in web design so the more images you send, or the more research is required on your behalf, the higher the time factor and thus the cost.
We will also update and maintain most sites created by other designers. Most sites are created in .html language and can be easily looked after. However, every now and then there are sites which have been built in a completely different manner than the norm and may make it difficult for everyone except the person who created them to make changes. In cases like these, we will advise you. |

Search Engine Optimization
Search Engine Optimization is the "tweaking" of website content and code to reflect the published parameters from the Search Engines and Directories. Just having a website does not automatically mean that you will be found through internet searches. |

We add a Search Engine Optimization component to every custom website that we produce as we are building the site. The search engine organizations themselves advise everyone that no one can guarantee a top placement in the searches because search engine technology is extremely complex and is subject to a vast number of variables. However, if your site has been optimized properly, in accordance to the published major search engine parameters, then your site stands a very good chance of placing in the top 10 searches for the keywords that are most specific to your business, which is the first page of results for the most popular search engines.
Remember, search engine optimization is not an automatic component of websites. Designers such as Affordable Web Design Ltd must add many different items to your design in order to make them comply with the guidelines from the most popular Search Engine such as Google, Yahoo, MSN, etc. Most of our professional competitors can also do this, but at extra cost.
We are often asked if we could optimize an existing site because the client can't be found...unfortunately this often involves an almost complete remake of an existing site but yes it can be done. |
